O Kiger é o novo SUV subcompacto da Renault para o mercado indiano. Revelado por completo hoje (28), ele estreia por lá posicionado entre os modelos Duster e Captur. A novidade apela tanto para a personalidade das linhas quanto para o espaço interno.
Feito sobre a plataforma CMFA+, o Renault Kiger é derivado do Kwid e tem 3,991 m de comprimento, 1,750 m de largura, 1,600 m de altura (incluindo as barras de teto), com bons 2,500 m de entre-eixos. O compartimento de bagagens oferece 405 litros de capacidade.
Entre os itens de série, estão presentes no Renault Kiger o multimídia “flutuante” de 8″ com conectividade Android Auto e Apple CarPlay sem fio, o Wi-Fi “nativo”, o sistema de áudio Auditorium 3D da renomada Arkamys, a câmera de ré para facilitar a vida do motorista durante as manobras e balizas, o seletor de modos de condução e até saídas de ar para os ocupantes traseiros.

Sob o capô do Renault Kiger, o motor de três cilindros 1.0 turbinado oferece 100 cv de potência e 16,31 kgfm de torque. Os câmbios disponíveis são manual de cinco marchas ou continuamente variável X-Tronic CVT. Também está disponível a motorização tricilíndrica Energy 1.0 naturalmente aspirada de 72 cv e 9,78 kgfm – as transmissões são manual de cinco marchas ou a automatizada Easy-R.

O Renault Kiger é um candidato a ser produzido na fábrica de São José dos Pinhais (PR) ao lado do ‘irmão’ Nissan Magnite — este último com lançamento previsto em nosso mercado em 2022.
